Just to update you on the previous blog entry of helping with 12.5" wonky star blocks. As we all know to put a quilt, or many, together, wadding, backing and thread are needed, as well as a giving heart. Today I have successfully combined forces with some wonderful people. I am very pleased to announce that together with Max New Fabrics, Sydney Sewing Supplies and Sewing Thread Specialist, Tia will have backing fabric, wadding and Rasant sewing thread to help with her amazing effort.
I have also gathered local machine quilters together, who are honored to have the opportunity to donate there time and quilting skills to turn the tops into quilts.
Please, if you can, donate a block and help wrap someone needy in a handmade hug.
thanks so much, x x x

I just wanted to add my thanks for ogranising the supplies for Tia. I have been busy today making wonky stars and it is comforting to know that she has what's required to make them into quilts so that they can go out to those that need comforting.

Morning Sunshine .... just dropped by to thank you for suggesting we get a "button" made for the Block Orphans, I think it looks reeel purrdy on your blog - now we just need everyone to press it and see what happens !!!!!!!
And thank you for your amazing patience yesterday(even with that scarey voice you made that came from out of nowhere .... Ghostbusters Possession revisted). Remember I sent you "organic choc coffee beans", I think you need to hunt them out, and when someone as "techno or quilting challenged" as moi rings you, you can pop them for an instant coffee burst. As a non coffee drinker myself, I have seen first hand from all my coffee addict family what can happen when they give up the caffiene ..... Adam, Kids, Run & Hide, save yourselves. Love & Kisses To You And Your Valentine, Janet xxx
