Happy New Year everyone. What a fabulous break I have had. My gorgeous family and I headed off to Brisbane to spend Chrismas with the In-laws. I committed the crime of blogging, and left home without the camera. Sorry, no pics.
Brisbane is about 6 hours north east from Bundarra. We arrived for a late Christmas lunch. My wonderful sister-in-law, Myma, had lots of Veg friendly dishes prepared, and oh, the fruit. So fresh and delicious. Family is a true blessing. Most days there were 21 gathered for a swim (really hot in Brisbane at this time of the year) and some great company. Too many Krispy Kremes, which I definitely do not normally indulge in, but hey, it only happens once a year, and they were really good. LOL
New Years eve we all went off to Wet and Wild, which is a theme park on the Gold Coast. We all had fun and I only screamed a little on the rides. Our little Bear has started walking again. He has developed his own stagger, and is quite fearful of using his leg, however, I remind myself constantly that it really doesn't matter how he is walking, because, he is walking, and talking and playing and being cheeky. For all that I am very appreciative. Oh, he really likes Krispy Kremes too. He had not had them before, and is looking forward to our next trip to Brisbane to see his Aunty Kim, (angelic sister-in-law) and Krispy Kremes. LOL
So, today it is back to work, and work we have. Wow, I am so pleased to see that so many of you have taken advantage of our 25% off sale. It will finish at midnight tonight, so you still have time if your quick.
So, how was your Christmas and New Year? Hot, cold, wet, dry? Where ever you may be, I hope you had a fabulous time full of love, laughter, of course chocolate, and managed to do a little stitching. I was going to announce the winner of our A Kitten's Tale giveaway, but, I changed my mind. Well, actually, I am thrilled to see 96 comments, and decided that it might be fun to see if we can make it over the 100 mark. I know, I know, get on with it. Please just indulge me. I will announce the winner sometime tomorrow. You never know who my little Bear will pull out of his hat. I will definitely get the camera out for the picking of the winner.
Until then, thanks for stopping by. See you tomorrow with some winners... x x x
Hi Kim,
oh, I'm so glad that you all are getting better - my thoughts are still with you & I hope this episode will soon be a distant memory. I do hope that your Christmas has been wonderful - filled with laughter from your loved ones, beautiful gifts {sometimes the former is the best gift of all!} and good (and plenty of) food. I deeply hope the next year will be a good year without any scary & dangeous accidents but many happy future memories!
Once upon a time - ehem, well years ago - I learned to walk with the help of my aunt's dog, Waldi. He was the most patient, caring dog I ever met (or at least I'm told). I remember me clinging on his neck, feeling his soft fur. I think it's one of my first memories ;o).
Well, I think that was the start of my career as an animal lover...
Hugs, Julia
